Computations on quadrilaterals

Quadrilaterals are polygons with four sides.
Common ones are squares (4 sides of same size with right angles), rectangles (4 sides with right angles) and rhombus (4 sides of the same length).
Squares, rectangles and rhombus are parallelograms ; it means they are quadrilaterals with two pairs of parallel sides. the opposite sides are of equal length and their diagonals cross in the middle, which is the symetry center.
This calculator enables you to perform some computations on these quadrilaterals like finding the area (surface), diagonal, perimeter (sum of sides length) from the sides or reverse.

Enter a value in the second column of following tables and computations of other values will be performed automatically (if ther is enough data).

Calculations on a square :

Compute area or diagonal of a square from its side :
square
area in m2
side AB in metre m
diagonal AC in metre m
perimeter ABCDA in metre m

Calculations on a rectangle

Compute rectangle area from its width w and its length L :
rectangle
area in m2
width w in metre m
length L in metre m
diagonal D in metre m
perimeter 2w+2L in metre m
angle α in degree °

Calculations on a rhombus

Compute area of a rhombus from its diagonals :
rhombus
area in m2
side AB in metre m
diagonal DB in metre m
diagonal AC in metre m
perimeter ABCDA in metre m
angle α in degree °
angle β in degree °
